ThetaHealing as an everyday process

Healing as an everyday process

On my "What is ThetaHealing?" page I mostly discuss the Theta brainwave. Now I'd like to discuss the other part of ThetaHealing in more depth: the word "healing".

The word "healing" on dictionary.com is defined as:

adjective

1. curing or curative; prescribed or helping to heal.

2. growing sound; getting well; mending.

noun

3. the act or process of regaining health: a new drug to accelerate healing.

The word "healing" here is generally pretty mundane. We heal ourselves every day. When you get a paper cut, in a few days your body grows and heals itself and after some time you'll see no signs of the original cut.

On a an emotional level, we can also heal ourselves in a similar manner. A relationship we're in comes to end and we are hurt. Over time, we move on and the hurt lessens. Eventually we can find ourselves having come to terms with the hurt - we have healed and no longer feel hurt over what happened.

Then things get weird...

For some reason, however, I feel like once we use the word "healer" things get weird. People start thinking about magic and fairytales. Miracles. The supernatural. The things that are impossible and unrealistic. To call oneself a "healer" is a little woo woo.

And yet the first definition of "healer" that comes up on dictionary.com is:

noun

1. a person or thing that heals.

So if you've ever seen your body heal a cut, or gotten over a break-up - guess what? YOU are a person that heals. You are a healer.

We can basically look at healing in two ways:

Healing is a mundane, everyday process that involves no magic or supernatural phenomena. It's just a normal, natural process we part-take in everyday to lesser or greater degrees of success based on our desires.

OR

Healing is a miracle. And miracles happen every day. Our bodies, minds, and souls are living breathing miracles. We experience magic every day as we take part in our personal healing process.

Whichever interpretation you choose - it doesn't matter. The point is, we experience healing every day. We heal ourselves every day.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
- Albert Einstein
